.
Hey Gabby hellloooo))) How are you?) Tell me about yourself, where were you burn, what did you do in childhood, how began to snowboarding?
Im great, thanks! I was born in Los Angeles, Ca. When i was a kid I was always into sports and being just one of the guys.. I would also act, sing, dance and skate, watch cartoons and classic movies. I just liked being active, and being a kid. I started snowboarding when i was 12, and loved it ever since.
You snowboarding for a long time, about 10 years I’m right? Where you were already and where you like to snowboarding most of all?
Yea around those years.. i like to ride at my home, Big Bear Mtn and also Hyland Hills in Minnesota.. ![]() I dont have any plans to go soon, but i would love to visit! maybe in the future. I think it would be rad. I know that you are not only rider of Nikita and other brands but also a model!! And so how it`s happen that you want to try yourself in the modeling business?
I actually started modeling before i snowboarded. When i started riding for Nikita and went on there photoshoot with them for the first time i was 19. It was a match made in heaven. I feel at home with them and they've done so much for me. I also have an agent in LA that helps me with modeling outside of snowboarding. I heard that you father is an interesting person too) so talented family!) Tell us more about him!
My dad is a guitarist, song writer and a singer. He's been a musician for many years.. his big break was being in Rufus and Chaka Khan where they were one of the biggest bands of the 70's.. there most known hit is "Tell me something good". They toured with the Rolling Stones, Earth Wind and Fire, and so much more.. Most of there music gets either remade by known artists today, or there original songs played in soundtracks for movies or television shows. After they broke up in the early 80's, he still toured and played music with other people.. Such as Paula Abdul, Lionel Richie, Billy Preston, jazz saxophonist Dave Koz, and many more.. Im very proud of my dad, he inspires me to play music today.. I play the ukulele, starting with the guitar too and i sing as well. i like making music, i guess its in my blood. ![]() How long do you snowboarding for Nikita? What can you tell about this brand?
Ive been with Nikita for about 4 or 5 years.. Nikita is a brand who represents the girl who's not afraid to be different. who likes to standout as an individual and just have a good time. Everyone a part of the brand i think is a good person, who brings there own style to everything. Nikita kills it. Many riders only have business with their sponsors. What are for you mean Nikita?
I dont see Nikita as just a company I ride for, I see them as family. they've taken care of me and stood by me for a long while, and i appreciate every bit of it. There awesome. Tell about team of Nikita, with whom do you like snowboarding and where? Maybe you have team tours?))
The Nikita team is a huge group of talented girls; Skaters, surfers, dancers, and snowboarders, its awesome.. I like riding with Alice Gong, shes a Nikita rider who lives in Utah.. we just did a Japan trip together and it was soo much fun! we stayed with a fellow Nikita rider and a good friend of mine, Mari Mizukami. shes from japan and she def showed us a great time in her homeland. We went to the Nikita Chickita that was held there for the first time and hungout with the girls, gave out prizes and had a great time.. ![]() In my free time I like to write, make music and record it on my computer. Watch movies, occasionally read, wander around town.. include a dance party in there and im set. Tell about you stuff for today: your snowboard, bindings, boots and clothings?
Nikita outerwear and streetwear, K2, Von Zipper, Stance, Elm, Celtek. ![]() I think you often have a girls competition and it`s very fun - sun, more snow and barbeque)) Do you like to take a part in it?) Do you afraid to snowboarding in competition?)
I occasionally do contests, a rail jam or two, but I'm not particularly into contests that much. If it's a jam format, im all for it. Nowadays I'm more into filming. Do you snowboarding with music or not?) What music do you prefer?)
yea when my ipod isn't dead i listen to music. I forget to charge it a lot and then it cuts out when im riding, so i sometimes dont even bother with it. I like classics.. The Doors, Hendrix, Janis.. But i like everything, it just depends on what mood im in. ![]() What are you like in snowboard most of all? Maybe jump, jibbing or free ride in the mountains?
Im more of a rail rider.. I like riding street rails and anything in the street really. I like riding powder when i get a chance to. Ive been making myself hit jumps because for some reason i dont hit jumps as much as rails. I just generally have more fun on rails, I guess. How is going photo/video shootings? Is it harder for you make tricks on camera or not?)
Filming has been great this year.. ive been in Minnesota most of the season, just trying to film as much as possible. I love it there. Yea, theres moments when its hard for me to ride when the camera is out, but i try not to think about it as much. It makes it less nerve racking. Thanks a lots for the interview! It was very interesting to speak with you! And now the main – greetings and thanks for somebody??))
Sweet questions :) thanks for chatting with me.. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
